Vision, Mission and Objectives

The vision of the Centre is to become one of the leading Buddhist research institutes in the world. It aspires to be one of the Buddhist organizations which produces quality research work as its prime objectives.

The mission of the Centre is to implement the Buddha's teachings to benefit society through education or training, research, dissemination of those research results to the general public and general services to Buddhism.

Our main objectives are: 1. To produce more high-impact research on Buddhism and seek funding for selected scholars to do research work related to Buddhism. 2. To disseminate knowledge of Buddhism derived from research work to the wider society in Thailand and abroad. 3. To train new scholars to be able to conduct research at the international level. 4. To support Buddhist Studies at all universities in Thailand by providing scholarships, either full or partial, to promising PhD students.
